What is an inactive email address?

It is an email address in your database that has not responded to your sends (no email opens) for at least 3 months.

Inactive email addresses in your database harm your emailing performance. Your statistics are skewed and your deliverability suffers because your list is unhealthy.

"The more your messages are opened, the stronger your deliverability will be."

Squadata distinguishes 2 types of addresses

❌ Truly inactive addresses

Those no longer used by anyone, or that don't exist. → Delete them from your database.

✅ Falsely inactive addresses

Those you can re-engage. The majority of your "false inactives" are potential future customers!

FAQ — Reactivation

Squadata's Reactivation service lets you "wake up" your inactive contacts. Thanks to Squadata's very extensive reach, we can identify that an email address that is inactive for you is actually active elsewhere. This puts an end to long lists of dormant emails in your databases.
Monthly reactivation of your databases is ideal to keep them as healthy as possible and ensure you are reaching as many active contacts as possible.
You will receive a CSV file containing the MD5 to reactivate, along with the date on which Squadata last identified that contact as active.
Yes, the service works with both MD5 and SHA-256. However, we do not accept plain-text emails in order to comply with GDPR.
The database file must be in .txt or .csv format. Files are limited to a maximum size of 200 MB, but you can split a larger file and upload it in multiple batches.
